  A friendly neighborhood taqueria. Not my absolute favorite but a much preferred standby. Not fancy, comfortable hole in the wall without the artifice of much paleface Mexican style cuisine in Portland.

  I've been here about 5 or 6 times, and mostly just get tacos and tamales.
  
  The tacos have been just great, and brings a lot of nostalgia for me. Sometimes they are on the dryer side, maybe twice out of the 6 times but I personally rather this than sopping wet like a place not far from here. I add the side guac and the red & green sauces.
  
  The tamales appear to be wrapped in banana leaf and when coupled with their red chili hot sauce (over their tomato based sauce it comes with) they are unbelievably good. I only wish they are bigger, but enjoy the price of 2 dollars per tamale. ;)
  
  All and all, this feels like home, a go to place once a week if I can. Excelente prices, good food, and wonderful staff. The guy up front always seems kind alibeit quiet.
