  Multnomah County's Property Tax website is simply Godawful, links which seem likely to be helpful turn out, when "clicked", to send the user to pages reading "systems error" or "access denied". Multnomah County's system does have one saving grace, which is (other than, apparently, those involved in IT) extremely competent people. Trust me, for virtually all inquiries or anything in the LEAST complex–say, anything more involved than a straight on-line payment, one should either PHONE or, (and this is rarely necessary as the phone system and those staffing it, are superb) drop by in person.
  To sum up: whenever possible, deal with staff either by phone or in person/avoid the county's wretched website like the plague.
